The fixture welcomed Jonathan who attended as MarkA's +1.

Orange Bibs raced to a 2 - 0 lead. Yellow Bibs fought back and got the score to 3 - 2 before the Orange Bibs increased their lead to 4 - 2. During this period Jonathan powered home a fierce shot to score his fixture debut goal for the Oranges. Dabiyani1995 lost his patience and rocketed in a now trade mark shot from distance to score for the Yellows. He then began to change the tide of the match by pinging passes from one half to the other with pinpoint accuracy. This is how you open up the pitch in 6 v 6. Dabiyani1995 was doing it De Bruyne style and players were feeding off of his passes.

The Orange Bibs conceded a penalty and Eddie01 scored it with a kind of Zinedine Zidane trick penalty. Basically the keeper could not move after ball because the foot Eddie went for the ball with was not the one he actually kicked it with. I could try to explain it for the rest of the report but suffice it to say it was good.

The Yellow Bibs drew the score level to 4 - 4 then pulled ahead. At about 4 - 6 to the Yellow Bibs the ball went high over the fence up into the tree on the edge of the enchanted garden. We try to avoid the enchanted garden on dark nights, senior players remember that it was once haunted by a devil dog. Kaichan says it contains a well of youth which only he is believed to have seen.

The Garden End is not right and players recognise this. We give the garden its respect. Anyway the ball went high over the fence, a tree snatched the ball out of the air and refused to let it go.

Rather than gently reason with the tree players threw sticks, then plastic bottles and finally other footballs in an effort to get our ball back. The tree refused. As many as six players led by Milo took the tree on.

We fought the tree,

but the tree won.

Finally a valiant player slung an old football at the tree and taking it by surprise as it tried to capture the new ball it dropped our ball. Players snatched the ball and sped back on to the pitch. Before anyone says it, we know - we are gonna need a higher fence.

Anyway Yellow Bibs now led. MarkA was in goal for the Orange Bibs. MarkA is a decent keeper and he is also the current Goal Machine. JakeFlowers was the previous Goal Machine before he lost his crown to MarkA on a cold January night. JakeFlowers took on the Orange defenders.as if they weren't there before blasting the ball past MarkA not once but twice.

JakeFlowers was on fire and expertly brought up his hat-trick before the keeper could say 'Mohammed Salah or Son Heung-min '.

Suddenly the Yellow Bibs led the match 8 - 4.

A save by the Yellow keeper outside of his area led to a further penalty, this time for the Orange Bibs. Ben took the penalty and, in stark contrast to the previous penalty taker, simply blasted it half height to the right and into the goal.

The Orange Bibs rallied and started to draw the match back. By the time the next team arrived the score was 10 - 8 to the Yellow Bibs. The final goal went to the Yellow Bibs who broke away after robbing the ball following a firm tackle from their own half.

Before we departed we left a deflated football ball at the Garden End as a sacrifice to the tree. All we want to do is play fitba not to annoy ancient mythical forces dwelling in enchanted gardens.

Things to Note

OK after watching two different penalties and analysing the size of our goals I finally have the secret of saving penalties. It is as easy as this ... No I am not going to tell you that would make it easier for the penalty takers. Just watch this space.
