We welcomed the long standing player formerly known as Guest Rilon to his first match as a full member of the club. He is now to be known as rilonlewis. We also welcomed back ngill who has not graced the fixture since Kaichan’s farewell match on 15/02/2017
The match kicked off with five Yellows against four Oranges, Niyi was late and arrived about three or so minutes into the game.
By nominal half time it was 8 -1 to the Yellow Bibs. Players agreed that ngill and Niyi should swap sides to even up the teams.
Rilonlewis scored and joins the group of players who have scored on their full club debut.
The Orange Bibs began to pull the match back.
Ngill lit up the fixture with a range of goals placed into the net from distance. He was so accurate that he was able to nutmeg the keeper from distance and even when slightly off target he managed to have the ball rebound off of the post on to the keeper and in. Ngill demonstrated an ability to ghost quietly into dangerous areas that has been unparalleled since the days of Decimal Dave.
Sadulla got injured then played in goal for a bit.
The Orange Bibs began to lead the match.
Sadulla went back on pitch
The Yellow Bibs managed to score just enough goals to keep the match close. When Sadulla ran the ball virtually the length of the pitch to score a special individual goal he pulled up injured a second time. The match was well into time added on. The score was given as 22 – 22. The Yellow Bibs offered the Noble Draw and it was accepted. We wish Sadulla a speedy recovery.
Final Score Orange Bibs 22 – 22 Yellow Bibs. A Noble Draw for the second week running.
Things to Note
The following day JonF stated he had watched the match “on YouTube today and counted 21-17 to Orange...”. JonF is reminded that the camera does not show the goal area at the end of the pitch Yellow Bibs were attacking, as such we must go with the score ‘agreed’ at the end of the actual match.
Let’s do it all again this week at Tottenham Wednesday FC
