At 05:27 of the video VIIGeorgeVII equalled one of the club's least desirable records when he launched a shot that cleared the carpark end fence and sailed over the gym building without touching the roof. This feat is called " 'Ave It" and was made famous over 9 years ago by Charles, a former player who was well known for his prodigious shot.

For the first quarter the match both keepers produced fine saves that kept the score at 0 - 0. This deadlock was only broken when a perfectly flighted ball from Andyhibbert lured VIIGeogeVII up for a defensive header. The ball skimmed off of the top of his head and looped over his own keeper to become the club's first ever recorded headed own goal.

After Jimmy9 had put the Blue Bibs 2 - 0 ahead there ensued that period were you learn 2 - 0 can be the worst possible lead. A quickfire brace from Mash10 levelled the score at 2- 2. Then a traditionally mazy run from Elvis culminated in him exchanging a smooth one - two with Leon before slotting past Guest Marc. Observers will note that upon first receiving the ball Elvis actually runs with it towards his own goal, almost as if he wants to make sure that when he turns he will be taking on the whole of the Blue Bibs team.

White Bibs 3 - 2 Blue Bibs

Within a minute of this JonF went at the White Bibs defence and with help of a one - two with Andyhibbert he was free and bearing down on goal. Steve pulled off a reflex save to palm the shot upwards but it continued towards the goal. With the speed of a cat Steve scurried after the ball and clawed it away from the goal again. The Blue Bibs argued the whole of the ball crossed the line. The White Bibs said it didn't. It was agreed the match would continue at 2 - 3 but JonF's attempt would be put through a VAR check later. The day after the video footage was released Jimmy9 kindly provided a freeze frame on social media and VIIGeorgeVII expressed a willingness to let the decision be made by 'higher ups' . We called upon the currently injured MarkA who has often refereed our matches in the past. He reviewed the freeze frame and concluded that the ball was over the line. Rather than allow ourselves to be ensnared in the same level of controversy as the VAR team of the Tottenham v Liverpool game at the weekend we have also drawn in the lines to show our reasoning.

After MarkA's kind assistance he was advised that if he wants to referee he should attend matches. However, this advice is flawed because the role of a Video Assistant Referee is to view footage.

With Jumhal injured on 28 minutes and eventually unable to continue, the White Bibs substituted him with Guest Eddie from the team who play after us. We wish Jumhal a speedy recovery.

The match remained very tight until JonF eventually beat Steve from the halfway line in an almost carbon copy of Sadulla's goal from the previous week. This either drew the Blue Bibs level or put them one goal ahead, depending on how you look at things.

On the stroke of the final whistle the Blue Bibs scored again. I have been asked to review whether play was actually paused for a perceived foul. This is an odd one as the possible foul was perpetrated by the White Bibs. The White Bibs played on and Leon was tackled. Then VIIGeorgeVII won the ball back for the White Bibs before playing it to Naz of the Blue Bibs, he then passed to Andyhibbert who assisted Jimmy9 to calmly slot home the final goal of the night for the Blue Bibs.
