Players met and agreed the following:
- If a keeper commits a head height infringement, then it will result in an indirect free-kick from the edge of their area.
- Any heading of the ball, irrespective of where the ball is in the air, will be classified as a head height infringement except in the course of a save by a keeper.

Rule Update
From tonight's match we introduce the standard small sides football rule below about passes to keepers:
- Goalkeeper unable to receive ‘pass backs’ unless the ball has been touched by an opponent or been touched by at least two of his team-mates.
- A player who has received the ball from the goalkeeper cannot pass it straight back to that player. The ball must touch another player (which may be an opponent) before being passed back. Breach of this rule will result in an indirect free kick being awarded to the attacking team.

The Head Height Rule Updated
- If the keeper throws the ball out over head height - then it goes to the other keeper and not back to the original keeper. [This applies to goal kicks as well.]
- To constitute head height. the ball must pass over the head of the tallest player on the pitch (balls C and D in the graphic below).

A Return Scheduled for Wednesday 31 March 2021
I hope that you and yours are well and coping with the pandemic and lockdown.
The Prime Minister has announced the government's roadmap to cautiously ease lockdown restrictions in England. From 29 March 2021, formally organised outdoor sports – for adults and under 18s - can also restart and will not be subject to the gatherings limits, but should be compliant with guidance issued by national governing bodies.
With all things being well, we should be able to return to TWFC matches again from Wednesday 31 March 2021.
Keep safe, well and healthy.

London Moved to Tier 4
London went into Tier 4 - Stay at Home from 00:01 GMT on Sunday 20 December. At present it reads that sports and leisure centres only remain open for individual exercise, and for people to use with others within their household, support bubble, or with one person from another household.
This situation means that there is no further football for us this year. This page will be kept up to date as further information becomes available.
Everyone is wished a merry Christmas and a happy new year. Please stay safe, well and healthy.

Match Day Numbers
JonF and Niyi have measured the pitch. The approximate measurements are:
- Pitch Length 40 m
- Pitch Width 24 m
- Goal Height 1.9 m
- Goal Width 3.7 m
Page 5 of the FA’s Guide to outdoor areas for small sided football and mini-soccer suggests that our home pitch is a therefore officially a six-a-side pitch.
Our current booking system allows registration on match fixtures up until ten-a-side is reached.
Players and club members are invited to commence a month of discussion/reflection on whether to adjust TWFC's booking system maximum numbers for our home match days. The main options are:
- six-a-side;
- seven-a-side;
- eight-a-side or
- maintain the status quo.
Consultation closes at midnight on 18 March 2019 and should please at all times be conducted in accordance with TWFC's values of enjoyment of the beautiful game, politeness and fair mindedness.

Steve's sponsored walk by the Thames
Steve is doing a sponsored walk by the Thames with BID (Bail for Immigration Detainees) on 28th October 2017.
BID are a small organisation providing legal representation to people detained by the Home Office. Have become aware of them due to their (vital) work protecting the rights of European rough sleepers - who are now being locked up without charge in large numbers, simply for being homeless. They also represent others in detention: refused asylum seekers and other people caught up in our immigration system.

Invitation from Our Adrian at Lewes Veterans FC
Hope all is grand with you lot, I have a little proposal for the Tottenham Wednesday FC.
I’ve started playing for Lewes Veterans. We played an 11 aside game against a Dutch team who’d come over as part of an exchange thing with Lewes FC.
The chap organising it all is looking for more opponents and I obviously thought about the mythical 11 aside Tottenham game we’ve never quite managed. Do you reckon you chaps could put together a team to come down?
We could maybe time it around the Great Escape as I'm sure lots of your lot would be heading this way around then anyway.
